Superweek is the conference Europeans talk about the way people talk about summer camp: a full week on the Danube Bend in Hungary where the analytics industry locks itself away and actually thinks. February 2026 was my first one, and Superweek does not ease you in. They threw me straight on camera as co-host of SPWK TV, the conference’s live studio show, alongside the wonderful Fosca Fimiani. Analytics completists will recognize Fosca as a narrator from User Journey Vol 2, because this universe keeps casting the same people.

SPWK TV is not a segment, it is a marathon: two broadcast days and nearly nineteen hours of live television, interviewing speakers and attendees between (and occasionally during) everything else. The official booking policy, as announced on air: we will find you, we will capture you, and we will put you in that room with us. And when interviews needed intermissions, Fosca produced a violin, I produced a melodica, and SPWK TV had a house band.

Between broadcasts I narrated The Bubble, Superweek’s 2026 documentary: twenty-two minutes on AI, autonomy, and whether humans are getting worse at decisions while the machines get better at making them. A film by Zoltán Bánóczy. Narrated by, well, me.

I arrived somewhat unknown to the Europeans. I left, as is apparently tradition, a star. Somewhere in the middle I also met Yehoshua, which is Joshua in Hebrew, a fellow performer from the other side of the planet who also makes education silly on purpose. Two Joshuas, one planet, both unsupervised. The universe has a sense of humor. There is also video evidence of me singing the words “since this is my first Superweek, I wanted to start a streak.” The streak stands at one, and it is alive.
