Experimentation Island was the CRO industry’s island gathering: a US event inspired by the success of Conversion Hotel and led by Ton Wesseling and Kelly Wortham. Kelly saw my speaker songs at Marketing Analytics Summit, where Jim Sterne first invited me to write intro songs for the lineup, and decided EI2025 needed the same treatment.

So I flew out, put on a full Elton John outfit, opened the event with an original theme song, and then performed a parody for every single speaker. Not generic filler: each speaker gets a personalized banger built on a classic they never asked to be part of.

They invited me back in 2026, and this time Rachael came along and performed too. The event has since grown into the Optimizers Conference, and I am proudly on the official island site.
